From the bustle of Hong Kong to the serenity of a Japanese Garden, you can experience the exotic sights, sounds, and taste of Asia from the comfort and convenience of a modern cruise ship.

Cruising in Asia is a fun, easy way to explore exotic ports of call and sample the remarkable variety of languages, cultures, art treasures, cuisines, and landscapes found in this amazing part of the world. Cruising enables you to explore exotic ports of call without having to pack and unpack in every destination you visit. And at the end of a busy day, your ship provides a safe, welcome environment in which to relax and recharge.

Most Asia cruises operate October through April and range in length from ten to eighteen days. Royal Caribbean International, however, is offering shorter cruises beginning in December of 2007. Choose from a 2- or 3-night Malaysia Getaway, a 3-night Hong Kong/Sanya cruise, a 4-night Southeast Asia voyage, or a 5-night cruise departing from Singapore, Shanghai, or Hong Kong.

If you have more time, Princess Cruises has a 16-day voyage sailing between Beijing and Bangkok. En route, you’ll visit Shanghai in China, Nagasaki and Okinawa in Japan, plus Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam. There’s also a 15- or 22-day Alaska & Far East sailing, as well as a 31-day Alaska, Far East, & China adventure. And to make your vacation a true escape, combine your cruise with one of Princess’ cruisetours, which includes an in-depth land tour to enjoy sights like China’s Terra Cotta Warriors or Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Holland America Line offers Asia sailings in March, April, May, and October. The line’s 14-day China, Japan, & Korea sailing departs from Hong Kong and ends in Osaka, with port calls in Taiwan, Shanghai, Beijing, Xingang, Dalian, Pusan (South Korea), and Nagasaki. (The reverse itinerary is also available.) In addition, Holland America offers an 18-day Japan, Eastern Russia, & Alaska voyage in May 2007 that begins in Osaka and ends in Vancouver. Then in October, a portion of the line’s 64-day Asia, Australia, & Polynesia cruise takes you to cities such as Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Yokohama.
