We went on a shore excursion to swim with the stingrays on the Half Moon Cay Island in the Bahamas. It was incredible. We got up close and personal with the gentle rays. They would feed right out of your hands. Their powerful suction pulled the squid right out of your grasp! They were rough textured on the top with a smooth rubberlike feel on the bottom of their bodies. They were shy at first but once the chum bag started getting jostled they smelled food and came flying in like puppies looking for a treat. They would literally move you by swimming into you so they could get a better angle on the food. This experience ranks up there in my personal top ten coolest things I have ever experienced.
