Regent Seven Seas to Host PBS Political Pundit 10 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 4941
Regent Seven Seas Cruises set to host political pundits on two cruises this year. Regent's Public Television at Sea (PTV at Sea) cruises, part of its Spotlight Series enrichment program, depart April 7 aboard the 490-guest Seven Seas Navigator, and Nov. 15 aboard the 700-guest Seven Seas Voyager. The April 7 cruise will focus on a post-primary political discussion. Gwen Ifill, host of "Washington Week," PBS's political program, will lead a panel of journalists in an examination of the 2008 presidential campaign. The cruise is a roundtrip to Bermuda from Fort Lauderdale. On the panel will be Dan Balz, national political correspondent for The Washington Post; Martha Raddatz, chief White House correspondent for ABC News; and political analyst Charlie Cook of The Cook Political Report. Per-person rates start at $4,295.

The Nov. 15 cruise will feature historian Ric Burns, who will discuss his films, including the documentary "The History of New York," and producer Jac Venza will discuss the history of one of PBS's longest-running shows, "Great Performances," during the 16-night transatlantic cruise from Rome to Fort Lauderdale. Per-person rates start at $5,795. Regent's PTV at Sea cruises are offered in partnership with locally _base_d PBS stations nationwide and Artful Travelers, which pairs art, culture, entertainment and travel. PTV at Sea guests will have opportunities to meet and mingle with their public broadcasting personalities at dinners, cocktail parties, shore excursions and other organized events during both voyages.
