Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth Hosts First Marriage 1 Year, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth hosted is first marriage engagement, thanks to Susan Mirabito, travel operations manager for Travel Network in Englewood Cliffs, N.J. Mirabito had received a request from Jim McCracken, mayor of neighboring Freedom Township, who wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Lisa Lehman of Lancaster, Pa., during the voyage. The ship’s crew reserved a table in The Verandah, to be followed with a reserved Theatre Box later that evening. The couple met a business conference, where they were partnered and directed to look into each other’s eyes for 15 seconds. At the end of the performance aboard the Queen Elizabeth, McCracken asked Lehman to again look into his eyes for 15 seconds, at which point he got down on one knee and proposed. Cruise Tip

Purchase inexpensive cardboard type wine tubes to smuggle wine on board, put them in your checked luggage and they protect it well. Use them to bring liquor back home from the island as well! You can get them at Michael's Arts and Crafts for a couple dollars.
