Today Show Anchors Kick Off 2011 with New Experiences

Earlier this week NBC’s Today Show announced their new Carnival-sponsored segment “Have You Ever,” which features the show’s anchors embarking on brand new experiences. The segment ties into Carnival’s recently unveiled “Hey America, Didja Ever” campaign that inspires people to try new things and add more fun to their lives.

Marcelo Freire Elected Flotilla Commander for U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Part of Six-Person U.S.C.G. Auxiliary Team from Carnival

Marcelo Freire, an information systems manager at Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines, has been elected commander of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary’s Flotilla 6-11, effective Jan. 1.  Freire is one of six Carnival employees to serve as a volunteer in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, which operates from the U.S.C.G. station on Miami Beach, Fla.

Firstly thank you for all the comments over the Christmas and New Year period. I’m glad you enjoyed the Blogs featuring the celebrations and in fact I have one more to post next week which will show the Cunard Queens bringing in 2011. Tip the bartender in cash instead of adding it to your Seapass bill. (Bring a stack of $1s or $5s) It is likely to give you extra attention, since the server gets his/her money now instead of at the end of the cruise.
