Setting a new standard for our floating resorts, the Carnival Liberty is sailing to Europe in glorious style once again in 2006.The abundance of duty-free shops, delicious dining options, bars, clubs, onboard activities and the addition of the Carnival Seaside Theatre -- a 12-foot-high by 22-foot-wide LED screen located poolside on Carnival Liberty's Lido deck showing movies, sporting events, concerts, and various other programming -- make the Carnival Liberty as much an attraction as the destinations themselves.

carnival Liberty

we cruised over the Xmas vacation, our second time doing this; the Liberty is one BIG ship, yet easy to find your way around. had a great room, same deck as the pool, only a 30 seocnd walk to the pool/eating spots. The outdoor big screen was great, watched Monday night football form the hot tub, drinkig a cold beer, under the stars...what a way to cruise.

Food was better than previous carnival cruise; ate at dining room each night, our servers were AWESOME and son fell in love with our server, Tania. Pizza, buffet areas were retty good, as well as thr snadwiches, etc. Pretty much did not dislike any of the food served!!

Entertainment was pretty good, but nothing that made us go crazy....were looking morelaong the lines of relaxing in the sun. excursions were prtty decent; went to Costa Rica, Panama and Costa Maya; Panama was great, got to go thorugh the canal on a small excuriosn boat, pretty amazing. Costa Rica waas beautiful!! And Costa Maya, well, sun, fun and umbrella drinks, dones not get any better.

I would cruise on the Liberty again!!! We all loved the ship, food, etc. was a super vacation, the best so far on carnival.

Embarkation was super quick. It only took 30 minutes from checking in to boarding the ship.

Once we boarded the ship, we checked out our cabins. We booked ocean view connecting rooms. We were on the riviera deck. We found a letter that they left for the passengers that were in there before us that they gave them a $25 shipboard credit for a complaint about noise. We didn't encounter any noise or disturbances.

We then headed for the Lido Deck for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. They now have a station for Thai food in addition to the oriental one that they already have. They also have a pasta station in which you choose which type of pasta you want along with the sauce and they make it right in front of you. The Lifeboat Drill was superfast.

The sail away party was a lot of fun, but they only played 2 songs and that was it. The only complaint that I have is that they did not have many activities for the guests. They neglected us because there were so many Carnival employees on board. They only had a trivia game one day and karaoke on both nights. The shows were excellent.

We never made it to the dining room because my brothers were at the Casino the whole time and we were super late for dinner. They made a large contribution to the Casino. They cannot wait until next time. We had dinner on the Lido Deck.

My Nephew loved the arcade and eating pizza and ice cream.

In Nassau we went to the Atlantis resort. We were going to do the dolphin encounter, but my nephew had a bad cold. He loved the aquarium at Atlantis Resort.

Debarkation was another story it took super long, but it didn't bother me at all because I was on a cruise and I didn't want to get off.

This ship is absolutely beautiful. I would definitely sail on it again.

Cruise Tip

Check your Seapass account periodically during the cruise, and especially the last night before going to bed. If there are any problems or errors, it is much easier to get them fixed at that time, rather than the morning of debarkation. Once you leave the ship, fixing an error is nearly impossible. Stuff your various receipts in a drawer and then check them against the listing on the TV.
